Isn't it wonderful how a bit of Sunshine, can help us to feel positive, about life in general.
This piece of Art is made from reclaimed wood. So, not only is it a colourful reminder of a sunny day, but it is also having a positive effect on the environment.
The backing board is Birch Ply, the painted hills and sun in the background are cut from MRMDF, and the sunshine lettering is hand cut from brown valchromat (which incidentally is a non toxic man made board, coloured right through with organic, non toxic dye).
It's part of my Beauty from Waste series. It measures 32.5x32.5cm, and is created from reclaimed MRMDF, cut on a scroll saw, and painted with spray cans. The birch ply backing board is fitted with a French cleat wall mount, so it's really easy to hang. This piece is intended to be left unframed.
