Collection: Beauty from Waste: The Archive Collection
From Carpentry Offcuts to Contemporary Art.
Before launching my fine furniture studio, I spent years working as a bespoke fitted-furniture carpenter across Bristol. When I closed that chapter to focus on pairing natural English hardwoods with Valchromat, and Birch ply, I was left with a stockpile of high-quality MRMDF offcuts and premium spray paints.
The standard industry practice is to send these offcuts to an incinerator. I refuse to do that. True sustainability means taking responsibility for the materials you already have.
The Beauty from Waste Collection is my solution. I am using my scroll saw to upcycle as much of my old carpentry inventory into colourful, multi-layered, permanent pieces of 3D wall art.
Once these specific offcuts are gone, these pieces will never be reproduced. This limited-run collection represents my transition from construction to fine craftsmanship—literally creating beauty from waste.
